This is the first night to try to sight the hilal for the start of Ramadan. However, it is projected that the hilal will not be able to be seen anywhere in the world on this first night. Yet, we are obligated by the Sunnah to look for it. Insha’Allah we will update the community regarding the results and the official start of Ramadan as soon as a decision is made.

THE HILAL WAS NOT SIGHTED. INSHA’ALLAH THE FIRST DAY OF RAMADAN WILL BE THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 19TH.
